As Director of Strategy and Advancement, Nicole is responsible for helping lead research and discussion about the future direction of Plummer Youth Promise while effectively communicating about and garnering the resources to implement current priorities. In addition, Nicole oversees all public relations activities.
From 2009 – 2013, Nicole served as Plummer’s Development Director. For seven years prior to that, she served on Plummer’s Board of Trustees, chairing the Board for four of those years.
Throughout her career, Nicole has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to philanthropic organizations and the people they serve. Nicole currently sits on the board of Root, NS, a culinary training program for high-risk youth, and chairs the board of the Mental Health and Addiction Network.
In the late 1980s, while working for the City of Boston’s Emergency Shelter Commission she served on the Board of Directors of Rosie’s Place, a shelter for homeless women in Boston. Nicole also provided relief staffing in a home for previously homeless women struggling with mental illness.
Earlier in her career, for approximately 15 years, Nicole provided legal and strategic advice to a wide range of nationally recognized foundations, charitable and lobbying organizations, associations and political action committees on federal tax and election laws and general legal issues. Nicole has a BA in Political Science from Wellesley College and earned her JD from Northeastern University School of Law.
