Expressive Activities

At Plummer Youth Promise, the young people we care for have had difficult childhoods and as a result, suffer from low self-esteem and a poor outlook on life. We utilize a number of practice tools to inspire them as well as help them build confidence and relieve stress. These include music and art/photography.

These tools are proven to help struggling youth get on a path to a brighter future. Studies show those who are connected to the arts, for example, are more likely to do better in school, have higher career aspirations and are more engaged in their communities.

While these practice tools are a popular and important part of Plummer’s overall model for care, they are not without expense. If you would like to learn more about supporting the programs at Plummer Youth Promise, please click here.
