Pathway for Permanency Mediators Training

Join Plummer Youth Promise for the free 36-hour Permanency Mediation training, sponsored by the Trial Court. This advanced training is designed for experienced mediators with child welfare backgrounds and blends theory with hands-on practice, emphasizing learning by doing.

Participants will learn two distinct approaches to mediating permanent plans for children in foster care: the Family Consultation Team (FCT) model and Cooperative Permanency Planning (CPP). The training runs across in-person and virtual sessions from September 2026 through January 2027. All sessions are required to attend for qualification.

Please note: external basic mediation training is a prerequisite for this training.

Virtual Sessions (via Zoom)
Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays — September 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, and October 1
Time: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Beyond the Model (via Zoom)
Dates: October 15, 2026, November 10, 2026, December 10, 2026, January 12, 2027
Time: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
