Our Nonprofit Organization
Plummer Youth Promise is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our fiscal year runs from July 1 – June 30.
Most of our funding comes from government contracts that pay for the basics such as shelter, food and an unspecified level of staffing and clinical services. We use philanthropic support to supplement our public funds so that young people in our programs have access to activities similar to their peers such as sport, music and recreation. We also use private funding to provide specialized clinical services focused specifically on making sure youth in our care find safe, emotionally secure parenting relationships so they don’t become young adults with nobody to count on.
We believe that responsibly using our funds (public and private) means knowing that our work is effective. To that end, we also use private dollars to collect and analyze data about our treatment so that we know what’s working, and what we may need to change.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us.
