What We Look For
Are you dependable, fun, and hardworking? We look for people who love working with youth, and we are always on the lookout for leaders in the social work, education, and child welfare fields.
“I enjoy my working atmosphere, feel supported by my supervisor, coworkers, and our dedication to creating permanency for children in the foster care system.”
We listen. We learn. We lead. At Plummer, our hard work is rewarded each time a youth finds their forever family. We support each other as we do this work
Our Work is hard. Joy brings comfort to the people we serve and to us. Laughter brings us together, makes the work easier, and feeds creativity.
We’re stronger together. We show up for and support each other so Plummer can always show up for the youth, families, and partners we work together with to achieve a common goal.
We listen. We focus on individuals’ strengths and are empathetic, hopeful, and honest.
We honor and respect the inherent value in every person and culture, recognizing that organizational strength is fulfilled only when diversity, equity, and inclusion are fully embraced and that interactions that do not treat people with fairness and dignity can be experienced as dehumanizing.
We embrace continuous learning. Creative ideas are welcomed with curiosity and critical thinking. We’re willing to be vulnerable, recognizing that we all have something to learn about ourselves and the systems in which we live and work.
Every day we ask “what would it take” to achieve success for our youth, families, and organization. We face barriers boldly, using them relentlessly as opportunities to creatively solve problems.
We’re honest and transparent. We do what we say we’ll do. We’re accountable in all directions to young people, families, each other, partners, and funders.
